What an ingenious way the rooms are named! i was in Gotham City, and my bed said "Poison Ivy"! My friend was Batman! :-) The first night, all of us were woken up by a fire alarm around 4 in the morning! Looks like it was someone drunk who caused it. Decent rooms; the ones looking out to the street... More

A small hostel with a cozy feel to it. Publicly shared restrooms. Limited wifi. Plenty of outlets available by all beds and cutely themed rooms. Very difficult to find and should have made the checkout time clear. No power outlets available. Towels available for rent. Right on a loud, busy street, so difficult to sleep at night. No locked room... More

Could always be better but for £9 a night... amazing value. Clean and pleasant, staff really friendly and great atmosphere. This was my first time in a dorm, so an important life experience for me. Everything is laid out as you need, of course no privacy compared to a private room but for the money.... Only two showers for each... More

Good value for money. Cheap rates, clean sheets, helpful staff, awesome location. Breakfast isn't included but can be purchased cheaply and the laundry service is cheap and well-organised. Appears dim & dank when you first arrive, but it's actually not. There's little touches that make it feel personal, for example I stayed in the Gotham City room and instead of... More

Very cozy hostel, much smaller than most in Edinburgh. The only complaints I would have are that the internet is horrible and kept going out during my stay there, ended up just going to the nearby Starbucks. Also, the kitchen is tiny with only hot plates for use and no oven so plan on eating out. Other than that the... More

I was travelling with a friend and stayed here for a few nights. The rooms and beds have really quirky names and the staff is pretty friendly as well. Beds were ok and there are lockers available in the room. The bathroom is a bit small and there are only two cabinets for showering ( I'm speaking for the female... More

The hostel was in a central location. I did not like that they were closed between 3am and 6am, would it really kill them to pay someone for those three hours to be at the front desk. The rooms were a good size and had lockers with your own key, but the top bunks did not have any railing and... More

Me and my friend went to Edinburgh without no place to stay the night. Luckily there's much hostels to choose from! This hostel is near everything. Two minutes walk from Waverly bridge which is the place where bus comes from the airport. In Royal Mile there's lots of nice little pubs with cheap whiskey ;) and everything you wanna see... More

Friendly staff, nice rooms, and extremely easy access to all the popular tourist destinations in Edinburgh. Free wi-fi was also a plus. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but for the very cheap price of the stay, no complaints at all.

Actually this was an average hostel with a great location. It was not clean but in an acceptable condition. I think I was not the first one to use my bedlinens!!! There was a weird smell of dirt in the room, it was probably because of the already used linen and not well cleaned carpet on the floor. I can... More
