Went to Edinburgh with my daughter to Napier University's open day, didn't want to spend a fortune, and didn't want a travel inn. Came with my son and husband and had a great time. Loved the old fashioned style of the hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant. Room was pretty small but clean and had a fabulous view of the Castle. Ate in the Bistro and food was really nice and great value for money. Booked this hotel through late rooms and thought it good value for money at £95 B&B. We usually stay at Holiday Inn or Marriott but both were full. Stayed here for a couple of nights as part of a curling tour of Scotland. Not a fantastic place to stay but it was clean, rooms were a decent size, service was adequate, food was OK, nice cozy lounge. In general it suited our purpose. more
