I stayed for 2 nights in Dec 2011, good location, cleana rooms but breakfast and dinner was hit and miss, the dinner was so poor we eat out at a local italian over the road, didnt drink here either as the local bars were great. overall not bad but the food isnt good, sorry More

We had a 2 day stay during a Rugby weekend, everything was first class, one small problem with our evening meal but this was quickly resolved! First class staff, the wee waitress in the bar did a sterling job! Especially with the abuse she got from one very rude customer!! We'll be back!! More

Just stayed at the Apex for a short break. The staff recognised our wishes for a quiet room (The Grassmarket can get noisy on a Friday and Saturday night) and gave us a back facing room on the top 4th floor, not a great view but very quiet.
