My wife and I had a three night stay at this hotel in November of this year. We found the hotel to be extremely welcoming. Our room was very comfortable, clean and modern, equipped with flat screen television, dvd player, free in room safe and amply supplied with tea, coffee and biscuits. Although situated a little way from Princes' Street... More

Stayed here several times with business. Rooms nice and clean with all usual amenities. It is the staff attention to detail however that make your stay special. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and of a very high standard such a refreshing change from the normal lukewarm buffet normally on offer by most hotels. Staff use your name rather than... More

I stayed two nights midweek at this hotel. I can confirm that the wifi reaches the second floor. The quality and size of the rooms exceeded my expectations. Breakfast was good and the waiters were efficient. The cooked breakfast is freshly cooked to order, rather than being buffet style, where things tend to dry out. The room was quiet, with... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel and providing such valuable feedback, the level of service and the quality of food we offer is something we take pride in and I’m pleased to see that we met all of your expectations. Unfortunately, the Edinburgh tram project has caused some disruptions in the Haymarket area, however, this has... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here from the welcoming and friendly staff to the nicely decorated rooms and the elemis toiletries in the bathroom. It was about a 20 Minute walk to the castle and royal mile but as we were very lucky with the weather we didn't mind the walk, although taxis are reasonable at about £6 to get... More

12 of us stayed here for my stag night in Nov 2011. We were looking for a decent hotel but the bugdet price of £63 per room less than a mile from Princes St caught our eye. We found the rooms to be very tastefully furnished (comparable with higher priced hotels) and the staff very friendly and efficient. Clearly they... More

We stayed here for 1 night on a surprise birthday weekend for my boyfriend. I had booked the room on a cheap advanced rate so half expected to get a dated or small room. This was not the case at all, the room was spacious and modern with a lovely big bed and lovely bathroom. All the staff were very... More

Our room at the Apex European was very comfortable and well outfitted. The hotel is not in the middle of everything, but we enjoyed the walks to and from, and when we took a taxi, it was no more than four pounds to get where we wanted. The breakfast was good and hearty, the buffet very nice. All of the... More

the Airlink bus from Edinburgh airport stops about 50 meters from the hotel (airport to hotel trip takes about 20 minutes), train station Haymarket is also very close (approx. 200 m). you can reach the city center (West End) in about 15 minutes by foot. very friendly and helpful staff, small reception area, no lobby, but you'd rather go out...
