This is a clean comfortable hotel near the quiet end of the High Street but within walking distance of the city centre. I must thank the head concierge and his night staff who arranged valet parking and assisted my departure at about 2 a.m. the following day. Good, old-fashioned service is this hotel's pride. I thoroughly recommend it.

We were there two nights. Great location, very nice rooms if not next to the bar, and for the most part the staff was friendly and helpful. The one exception was the assistant manager at breakfast was rude and in need of a major lesson on customer service.
