Stayed here for one night for a work trip. Location-wise it is excellent, right in the city centre, close to buses, train station etc. It is basic but it's clean and cheap, so what can you expect! I got a room in the back corner of the hotel (304) which meant that it was quiet and also very big (presumably... More

We had a night stay planned in Edinburgh during our trip to Scotland and we decided on this hotel for its convenient location and its price. It is located very close to the coach and rail stations and is in a street full of eat-out joints and pubs. The hotel is easy to find on maps etc and must stay... More

I stayed here for 2 nights with 4 others and we had 3 rooms in total. Simply from the off we could not wait to leave! Upon check in we imediatley noticed a stench of fish! The reception is left unmanned and we had to wait for someone to appear. Upon getting to my room, not only did that too... More

Only stayed for one night but the hotel was fine! The room was pretty small and basic, but had a mini 'wardrobe' to hang our clothes up which was quite good as we were going to the theatre! The bathroom was nice but found dried blood on the toilet roll which was horrible so used the other one! We left... More

Stayed at the Travelodge Rose Street in November 2011. We had travelled to Edinburgh for a short break and found the Hotel ideal for the city. It is a short walk from all the facilities of this wonderful City. I had concerns it would be noisy being in the heart of the lively Rose Street but this was not the... More

Just had an overnight stay and was very pleased. Room was basic but immaculate, but most importantly to us was the location.5 minute walk from bus station and loads going on all around. More

I stayed for three nights at the beginning of February and observed that the accommodation offered extremely good value for money (£19 per night). At that price, you can't really complain about anything! The location is great, approximately a 10 minute walk from Waverley station, and the reception staff were friendly. In line with some other reviews the downsides were:... More

Thought that because this hotel is above a pub, it would be noisy all night & I wouldn't be able to sleep, but no noise at all! Extremely clean & comfortable, would absolutely stay here again!! More
