The hotel is warm and welcoming, in a convenient location, with bus stop right outside. My room was light and spacious, with stacks of storage space. Evening meal was very enjoyable, with friendly staff, and breakfast was pretty generous too. Downside was the noise from the public bar on my first evening, which went on until about 10.30pm - it... A very welcoming and friendly hotel which is located near to Mortonhall Crematorium. The service provided by the hotel owners was wonderful with a very friendly reception. We recently booked a funeral tea in the hotel and the service provided helped to ease us through the day and allowed us to relax with our friends and family. The consevatory area... More

I needed a hotel near to the Mortonhall Crematorium to attend the funeral of a relative. The hotel has generous off street parking. I did not realise that they did evening meals so had eaten fish and chips whilst on the way. The bar was most welcome and I had emails to send. Instructions on how to use the free... More

It's a small hotel run by a warm and awesome family. It's not in the city center but bus stop is right in front of it so it's very convenient. Bus ride to city center is about 15 minutes long, depending on traffic. They run pretty frequently. Rooms are impeccably clean and surprisingly spacious. Richard and Thomas, sons of the... More

Was here for a wake at teh beginning of the week & would recommend it - very respectful. We were in the conservatory which was a good space with access to the garden. Ample parking and good staff - would recommend. More

Hi, I agree with the review in July, this was a terrible experience for my family, we also catered for 60 people and were provided with 2 trays of sandwiches (little variety and hardly any filling) and 2 of cold and uncooked sausage rolls, one tray of cheap biscuits and small fairy cakes (from tesco for 12 for a £1)!... We stayed here on the night of my father-in-law's funeral. We live out of town, so instead of paying for a taxi home, we stayed here. The room was lovely - not like a conventional hotel room, more homely-feeling. Very clean and fresh. The bathroom also spotlessly clean, and quite trendy too! It had the most storage I've ever seen... More
