It seems to be that all the lodges I have visited need money spent on them. They offer cheap rooms and when you get there you see why. They are clean but out dated. Fittings are getting very tatty. We stayed here enroute to Troon for an early morning ferry - it was a very useful location for this and only 20 minutes to the ferry from here. The room, etc is as you would expect. Basic, clean, functional. But I wish they would start supplying hairdryers again! More
