Booked for an overnight stay on my way north on my motorbike. Small discount for bikers, secure lock-up sheds for the bike, reasonable room rates and the proprietors are, says the website, bikers themselves. On arrival, there was a friendly (if slightly time consuming) check in and I got my room key and.a shed for the bike. Another biker arrived... More

I booked in on the way north from Derbyshire and was delighted to find good food, nice ales and a really warm welcome. There is free WiFi and parking, which is handy and it is a really pretty area too. I wish I'd had more time to explore it.

Spent last saturday evening here. Lovely food, great service, not too expensive. 4 of us and 2 bottles of wine, starter and main each and it came to 120 quid. Only criticism is that my scallop starter was tiny and not really worth money, that needs looking at. Would go back though.

Come up every year for Clan AGM and dinner. Couldn't get into our usual place, so gave this a try. Evening meal and breakfast menu very comprehensive and cooked to perfection. The twin room we had was comfortable, though a bit small and dated but adequate for our needs. Friendly, pleasant, helpful staff and competetively priced. As a few of... More

Stayed one night on business, was pleased to see a biker friendly hotel as a biker myself but the hire of the boardroom also provided good business facilities. Staff were all very nice an helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Bedroom was clean and perfectly adequate if a little dated, shower was great.

Have now stayed at the hotel four times while on motorcycle tours of Scotland . Always made to feel welcome and the rooms are spacious clean and warm. The food is excellent and always fresh, and the facilities for the bikes are brilliant. Will definitely stay at the hotel again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Another great weekend at the Buccleuch Arms Hotel. Very friendly staff, good food in their lovely restaurant and a very cosy bar for a couple of drinks afterwards. Will definitely be back for another stay.

Every Easter time for the last 6 years I've taken a group of motorcyclists from the Newcastle Mid Life Crisis Bikers to this Hotel for a 2 night stay. This year there were 19 of us and yet again we were very happy with things and the hotel were very friendly and accomodating. It's not expensive and we certainly dont... More

We stayed two nights at the Buccleuch Arms whilst touring South of Scotland / Borders area last weekend as we have done previously over the last few years. Have to say that the hotel was as good as ever. Very friendly, warm and welcoming with a great relaxed atmosphere. Great place to chill & unwind. We had a meal in... More

Found The Buccleuch Arms through MCN and as they have garages for motorcycles at the rear of the property I thought ideal. After a 300 mile trip from Ullapool we were met at the front door by a chap from the hotel pointing us to the rear garages. Parked the bikes and in we went. So far so good. The... More

Hi begster, So sorry you didn't enjoy the stay to the level you wanted. We really do try hard. Sorry about the coffee machine and also sorry that we have to operate winter hours in these hard recession times. I'm sure the foul weather you guys had on your trip didn't help. I certainly didn't envy you disappearing off into... More
