We stayed for 1 night , the staff where very friendly and welcomed us to the Beccleugh , our room was clean and tidy but the bathroom could do with a little bit of an update but again still very clean , we eat in the hotel and we both enjoyed the meal , during our stay a very talented... More

Never stayed in the hotel so can't comment on the quality or otherwise, but as far as eating their is concerned, quite simply this is one of the best pubs for food I have ever dined in. The quality is superb, the prices very reasonable given the quality and attention to detail is wonderful. The owner, Dave - a South... More

After a recent visit to the Buccleuch Arms I feel it necessary to express my dissappointment at the lack customer service provided. I booked a table for myself and friends for an evening meal. The Bar area and restaurant were very quiet and we were shown to our table. No one offered to take our coats, one of my fellow guests... More

We were on a club motorcycle tour of Scotland and stayed at the Buccleugh on the way back south. Having visited before we knew the way into the secure yard behind the hotel where we were met by the owner who directed us all into the fancy steel sheds he's had installed to house guest's motorcycles. Some of us also... More

I stayed here for 1 night in July this year with 3 of my mates, which was our stopover on a 2 day motorbike trip, on 4 bikes. If you are travelling up to the area on motorbike, this is a great place to stay. On our arrival, the rear garden of the hotel was opened up for us to... More

We were on a motorbike tour of Scotland and this was our last hotel stop. Imagine our surprise when they gave us a 'room' for our bike as well as ourselves (see pictures) This was a nice traditional hotel, not the most up to date facilities, but warm & welcoming. Everyone was so friendly and we really enjoyed our one... More

We booked this hotel to spend the final night of our honeymoon because of how it promoted its menu and food providence on its website as we are serious foodies, and it was ideally located to break up what would have been a 8 hr drive. We figured it was the final night of our honeymoon and so we deserved... More

7 friends and myself stayed for 3 nights. 5 of us had motorbikes and even the 3 who didn't have motorbikes got the biker discount. Nothing was to much trouble for this family run hotel, 1 of the guys had a problem with his panniers and the owners son promptly got a load of gear and tools out and rectified... More

Stayed twice on our way to and from the Western Isles. Very friendly and helpful, really was dog friendly, and food was excellent. Breakfast really sets you up for the day! Great dog walks from the hotel which is important after a day in the car. Only slight down was that room was rather small, but that's just due to... More
