We've stayed at this hotel several times. It is located in the beautiful grounds of the Crichton Estate, and only a short drive into Dumfries itself (or a 20 min walk). A very smart and welcoming hotel when we first entered reception in the old part of the building. The room, which was situated in a new block adjesent to the main building, was very comfortable, had a telly with freeview, a nice smart bathroom with toilet and shower, and a hugh soft bed. Very comfortable modern hotel rooms with restaurant and bar in the old original building. Lovely walk-in showers rather than the customary shower head over the bath.
