We booked one nights room only stay at the Travelodge after recieving an email offer selling rooms for £9.00 - the room cost us £54.00! It took us a while to find the hotel which is situated behind the Little Chef off the A75. we arrived at 2pm and were told it would cost £10 to check in before 3pm... more

This hotel has good beds, nice big rooms but if you're a light sleeper, take the 1st floor. The loose and creaking floor boards meant I got little sleep, in a ground floor room. Everyotime someone walked around, it was like a heard of elephants making their way to the water hole. The staff were very nice apologetic about this,... more

Unfortunately this was the worst place we stayed in a one month holiday in the UK. Having stayed at a variety of Travelodges - we had higher hopes. The room was dirty, bed was uncomfortable, there was never anyone at the front desk and there was a definitey 'dodgy' feel to the whole place. You do have limited choices in... more

I booked this hotel as it was the venue of a wedding I was attending. It looked dirty, old and extremely run down from the outside and appeared this way inside. The receptionist was rude and didnt maintain eye contact once. The room was extremely basic and looked as though it needed a good clean and a lick of paint.... more

It was a decent enough place. I stay in Travelodges all over the country and this one was no better or worse than other ones I stayed. There were though a few hairs on the wall of the bath, so cleaning could have been better. But everything else was fine. The lady at reception told there was another restaurant across... more

On arrival at this Travelodge, I have to admit that the exterior of the building did not look that inviting, there was quite alot of litter that appeared to have blown out of the bin of the nearby Little Chef. Another reviewer wrote that there was an unpleasant smell when going inside this hotel and I did also notice a... more

This travelodge suffered from very low standards of hygiene. The whole building had a strong unpleasant smell of sweat, and this was even more intense in our room. In fact it was so bad that it caused my wife to nearly vomit. The room had not been cleaned well. The bathroom in particular was dirty and the bottom quarter of... more

Location was OK for access to Dumfries although a bit out of town. They could do with tidying the garden are in front of the lodge which was full of weeds. No bathmat provided. Room was quiet , clean and comfortable. more

Stayed here in April. Booked the family room for £15 per night. Clean and adequate for a stopover. Quiet room at the back of the travelodge and staff were helpful. Would not have liked to have paid full price for the room - advance purchase deals are well worth looking out for. more

Clean and cheap. Stayed here with wife and two kids 9 & 10. Make sure you book at least 21 days in advance on the travelodge UK site [--] and you can get in as cheap as 10 pounds!!! Real value. more
