Stayed here on the night of our engagement and what a lovely place it is. The owners are very chatty and friendly. The food was also fantastic and we ate in front of the fire with a very friendly dog called tessa :) great place great food and a great deal! More

Warm welcome and nice friendly hotel in a fairly good location for all local amenities. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Meal was nice with just the right amount of choice. All in all a nice break and we would use this hotel again. More

very disapointed, loud music in the backgound it was like sitting in Weatherspoons, not in the lovely, cosy , homely hotel that it once was. More

The ambience of The Glen, if bottled, would sell millions.Returned yesterday after a two night stay and would happily of stayed longer.Prior reviews about the food are spot on, the chef would not be out of place catering in a 5* restaurant.Dined in both nights and the quality and quantity of the food was superb, best meals eaten out in... My husband & I got back today from a 2 night stay in this hotel. As it was a small hotel we were hoping that it would be O.K. We could not have been happier with it. It states it is animal friendly but more important it is also people friendly. The meals were cooked by the proprietor and were... More

We stayed here for the second time whilst fishing on the Tweed last month. The accommodation is very pleasant and comfortable and Steve and Anoinette are excellent hosts. The food is very good and the breakfast's are excellent. It is very close to all the main Tweed beats on the upper part of the Tweed and is a very convenient More

Just back from this lovely hotel where the staff made us very welcome. The hotel appears to be in the midst of refurbishment, not affecting our stay but noticable by the fresh appearance of some area compared to others. Having been to various hotels across the country, I can honestly say that the food here is of a standard matching... More

We got a fantastic deal from Groupon and couldn't have been happier. The room was clean and comfortable and the food was gorgeous home cooked fayre. The added bonus for us was the gorgeous Wiemarana having a snooze infront of the fire. The lady who runs it with her husband is a lovely chatty lady and made you feel right... More

A group of us spent the weekend at the Glen Hotel in June to celebrate a friend's birthday. Not only were the staff helpful and attentive at all times, they even organised a hiking trip and entertainment for us in the evenings. The food was top notch and breakfast was available even after I slept in on the Sunday and... More

Just back from a Groupon stay. £60 for one night double room B+B+ED. The food was great. I had lamb for my evening meal and everything was lovely. I would put the food the same as a good restaurant. The hotel was good as well we were in room 2 overlooking the main road. Selkirk itself was very quite but... More
