Melrose is a lovely small town in the centre of the Scottish Borders, on the Tweed river. The Burt is an old coaching inn which has been well modernised. My wife and I stayed at Burts Hotel for one night on Sunday 13 November 2011. The staff were extremly helpful and knowledgable. The Sunday lunch was as good as previously reported. The hotel and our bedroom was very clean and comfortable, and we will definately return for a longer stay in the future. More
