We were welcomed when we arrived and provided with a pleasant first floor room with balcony in a modern extension to the original Victorian building. All rooms are themed and ours was named the Garden Room after the Scottish television show the Beechgrove Garden and photographs of the presenter were on the walls. Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel clean and room of a very good size. We had a meal in the restaurant and it was the best meal we had in our two week holiday across Scotland. I would return to this hotel for the food alone. More
