Travelling on business and after a mad few days, this beautiful spot up in the hills was just what i needed. A nicely decorated room with all that you'd expect for modern accomodation to hand. A superb full english in the morning set me right for the day ahead and after a good nights sleep in this wonderfully quiet location... More

My fiance is currently working in Kirriemuir so is staying in the Strathmore room on a long term basis. I have visited him 3 times and always had a warm welcome, even for my boisterous bulldog who comes with me. Breakfast was lovely and the loan of a bathrobe was much appreciated. Great walks in the surrounding area. Recommended! More

What a great find, totally fab B&B, secluded and quiet, but a hop and a skip from town, perfect as I was on a business trip. A fantastic warm welcome, even the electric blanket was on, joy of joys. Breakfast was awesome, freshly cooked to perfection and served in my room. This wonderful B&B is now on my radar and... More

A real charming character B&B set in a beautiful rural setting. The service at balmashanner was fantastic with a lovely home cooked breakfast, probably infact the best cooked breakfast we've ever had! Rob and marie (the owners) are truely wonderful people, they go way way above and beyond the call of duty, with a refreshing sense of community and supporting... More
