Our room in Stonehaven was at the top of the B&B so there were a lot of stairs to climb - kinda tough on the knees! But the view was worth the climb! Our room was roomy, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was really nice and big - which can be unusual for bathrooms in the UK. Most all I... More

There is not enough space in this review box to tell you all of the great things about the Arduthie House. Bed and Breakfast in an Art Gallery!!! Dennis is a most excellent host and prepares a truly great breakfast. His restaurant recommendations were outstanding. The rooms were some of the most tastefully appointed in my two week stay in... We started our holiday in Stonehaven, which was definitely a perfect town to spend a couple of days (great harbour, lovely restaurants and great sea views). Really happy we decided to book a room in Arduthie house! A lovely room, great breakfasts, a nice gallery inside the B&B, and a welcoming host. Great stay! More

One night stay only, but we have really appreciated the place. Near the sea, view on the water, wonderful bathroom, excellent breakfast, welcoming host (we only met him, not the wife). Definitely among the best places I've stayed in. More

This is a lovely guesthouse, right in the centre of Stonehaven, but set far enough back so that traffic noise never intrudes. Our room, a little small for a double (acknowleged by owner, to be fair) was delightful, well-appointed and an exceptional en-suite shower room provided a welcome conclusion to our busy day. We appreciated the free Wi-Fi access -... More

We spent our second to last evening on our recent Scotland trip, at the Arduthie Guest House, and thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Stonehaven is about a half hour to 45 min drive (depending on Aberdeen traffic) south of Aberdeen, and located in an old harbor town, within walking distance of one of my favorite castles -Dunnottar. The Arduthie Guest house... More

Delightful B and B in this small town a few miles south of Aberdeen. House doubles as a lovely art galley. Quiet and very comfortable twin room with large en suite. Welcoming host who took the trouble to secure some haddock for the second night of our stay and ensured we had all the necessary information to enjoy this lovely... More

We booked 2 nights at the Arduthie House and were very pleased with our stay. Kathleen and Denis only recently purchased the house and converted the lower level into an art gallery. Our room was located on the top floor with fabulous views of the town and ocean. The room was tastefully decorated with what we learned later was the... More

This lovely B&B is located in a charming small village. The owners are very sympathetic. The rooms are huge with everything you need (even whisky!!), the breakfast is delicious. More

I will agree with all of the other posters that this is a lovely place to stay. Sometimes I'm wary that B&B/guest house type places will be too personal and cloying, or fluffy with ruffles and teddy bears. But this is not at all the case here! Our host and hostess were sociable and there when we needed them but... More
