We started our holiday in Stonehaven, which was definitely a perfect town to spend a couple of days (great harbour, lovely restaurants and great sea views). Really happy we decided to book a room in Arduthie house! A lovely room, great breakfasts, a nice gallery inside the B&B, and a welcoming host. Great stay! More

This is a lovely guesthouse, right in the centre of Stonehaven, but set far enough back so that traffic noise never intrudes. I will agree with all of the other posters that this is a lovely place to stay. Sometimes I'm wary that B&B/guest house type places will be too personal and cloying, or fluffy with ruffles and teddy bears. But this is not at all the case here!
