this is a great small hostel that has a very quirky vibe. it is decorated with masks, wall hangings, bhudda statues, hand painted indian tables. etc. all brought back from the owners extensive travels. Steve, the manager introduced us to the city over a cup of coffee. Derry had much more worth seeing than we had originally anticipated. We were... More

There are two hostels around the block from each other. I stayed at the newest of the two.The rooms were nice and comfortable. The manager was a really great guy, i had actually experienced a nightmare roommate (actually concerned for my own safety) and I went downstairs and decided to sleep on the couch in the common area. Turned out,... More

We stayed in their extension - another house which seemed to be a carbon-copy of the main/primary hostel - which is on the same block. Our buildling was beautifully and thoughfully decorated (the owners are travellers themselves - they share their photo albums of their adventures in the common area). Each floor (containing 2-3 rooms) had its own bathroom and... More

We loved our time in Derry, and this hostel is definitely the place to stay! The location is great: a couple minutes from Tesco, restaurants, great bars, and a short walk to the city walls. The hostel itself feels more like a guest house, very friendly and cozy and perfect for meeting people. The free wi-fi (which was always working,... More

I ve spent a night in the hostel, I was doing a road trip in Ireland with friends. The staff is so friendly, we spent the night out with them and other people from the hostel in a Pub listening to Rebel Music and drinking pints. It was a really good night out. [and the canadian guy working in the... More

We arrived a little late and had a small note on the door with a telephone number, the friendly host even sent us a sms! We were in a conversation immediately, got some great tipps for food, parking, bars. It may not look as good as it is from outside, but the hostel is small and very comfortable. It has... More

Staying here really made my trip to Derry! It was perfect - friendly, clean, fun, excellent facilities, warm, good movies, wonderful staff , and good place to make new friends! Derry is an awesome city to visit, even in winter! Great pubs and live music ( the hostel staff might offer to take you to see some live music -... More
