Welcoming hosts but everything very basic. Not worth the £45 for a single room. Carpets were tatty and dirty. Bed extremely uncomfortable with springs digging in. Room was very small. Breakfast vast but badly cooked and served. No refinements. more

We had one of those stays where we had to call on the hosts, Chris and Jo, for a number of emergencies, but they were incredibly helpful and dealt with everything brilliantly. This is under new ownership for the past six weeks and it shows. Great effort has been to improve. The breakfast has fresh fruit as well as juice, cereals and full English. We stayed in this hotel on August10 and 11, 2007. Beds have springs that dig in you back and thighs. No mattress protectors just a thin sheet over mattress. Beds not level.
