Listen to other reviews of this place - it's grim. Room was filthy - heavily stained sofa, scratched walls, used condom wrapper (ugh!) by the bed. Reasonable size and bathroom was OK, but door was standard DHSS bedsitland door and staircase to room was standard and horrible. People were quite friendly, and breakfast was OK. Towels - supposedly new -... more

Where to start! We booked for about 12 of us as we had a wedding nearby. From the outside it looks so so, but as soon as you step through the doors you are entering another world! The reception is located in a shoe cupboard on the side of a tiny corridor. The decor is seriously outdated and shabby, the... more

Despite some of the disparaging remarks in one or two of the reviews listed on this site I took a party of 11 golfers there for 4 nights and everyone was very pleased with the hotel. Our room, number 1 on the ground floor, was large and well appointed even having a chaise long and spacious wetroom. All meals were... more

The hotel was like something from fawlty towers... the staff were slow and didnt seem to know what they were doing.. the man on the desk in the morning couldnt cope with the phone ringing and talking to guests at the same time. They need to put their staff on a people friendly course. The views and mumbles are lovely... more

Please do not even contemplate booking into this hotel as you will be sincerely disappointed. The entrance to the hotel was grubby, the carpet and deco dated and so not in a retro kind of way. We waited at the reception for someone to receive us, after a time a chap showed up to give us our key. Unfortunately he... more

We booked this hotel as a 'one night stop over' on our way to the Pembroke Ferry. First impressions were not good - the entrance to the hotel is grubby and the glass on the entrance doors looked like it was a long time since they had been cleaned. I had booked a sea view room (costing more than an... more

I've been visiting the Mumbles all my life as I've had family nearby but I'd never stayed in the town before. I stayed for two nights with a friend to go and watch a Wales rugby match in Cardiff (a 50 minute drive away). Overall the hotel was good as base for a short stay in the area if your... more

The only good thing about this hotel is its wonderful location. We got to our room through a sort of storeroom. The corridor had a badly stained carpet and a smell of damp. The room overlooked a junk yard. This was cleared up a bit before we left.Plaster/paint hung down from the ceiling in the bathroom. The bedroom was just... more

I'd booked a party of 6 middle aged golfers into the hotel some two months before we visited. I'd asked for 3 twin rooms en-suite and was quoted a price for this. Subsequently I was asked if we were happy to stay in the house annexed to the hotel. I agreed as there was no mention that we wouldn't get... more
