This used to be called the Mercure Lodge (the sign outside still says that) but it has been misleadingly renamed at the Cardiff Centre. As a lodge it probably suited men who travel the country in vans quite well but as a city centre hotel it is too far from the action, surrounded by busy roads and commercial properties, has...

The staff are very friendly and easy to check in and so on. The view from the room is very basic and the hotel could do with a refurbishment however, The stay itself was what you would expect from an average hotel the room was ok and the bed wasnt as bad as some but the parties that go on...

Arriving at the hotel staff were friendly and check-in was easy.
The room was a little dated, but more than adequate. Room had a King size bed which was very comfortable.
Buffet breakfast was good with and more than needed. Dinner at the hotel is very limited in choice but within 5 minutes drive north or south there are some...

An excellent hotel. Great quiet location. My room was spacious and comfortable. Helpful, polite staff. Plenty of parking. Great value buffet breakfast. Will be my regular stay when in Cardiff. You will not find a better hotel for less than £50.00.

Nothing special but did the job for overnight stop on outskirts of the centre. £60 B&B so decent value. Free parking wouldn't go amiss. Bit tricky to find directly of the roundabout. Friendly staff. Good breakfast selection. 5-10 mins drive to centre. Overall no complaints.
