Had an excellent 3-day stay here. The room/s are in a self-contained little cottage, complete with wood-burning stove, kitchen facilities and maps & guides of the local area. Very clean rooms, very quiet location and very welcoming and friendly hosts. Overall represents very good value for money. Would recommend the home-cooked meal option or the Nant Ddu Lodge a few... We stayed for 3 nights in October with our two young children and were made very welcome from the moment we arrived. The superb B&B was beautifully renovated from an old dairy 7 years ago and, due to being detached from the main house, is more like a serviced/catered cottage, especially if you take over both bedrooms as we did.... We enjoyed a lovely away-from-it-all autumn weekend break at Penrhos. David and Rosemary, our hosts, could not have been more welcoming and helpful, suggesting walks and places to visit. The cottage (for it is far more than a bedroom, with lounge, kitchen area, conservatory and patio) was immaculately clean and well equipped. An amazing range of hot drinks was on offer... More

We are a French family and stayed there in July, 2011 for 4 days; what a nice welcome of David and Rosemary who make everything to enchant you; she is a very good cook for your dinner ... It is a really comfortable, very clean and a quiet house; near from beautiful hikes in the mountains. If you like farm... More

Wanting to be located near the Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons my partner and myself found Penrhos to be the perfect accommodation us. An old converted Dairy, immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and of high standard having your own entrance, lounge, and kitchenette with all mod cons. We stayed in the bedroom upstairs with its exposed beams giving it... More

Very hospitable hosts, great food (dinner and breakfast), very clean and nice room. Rest after the trip - great! Unfortunately we missed the weather and we could not enjoy walking around the farm. I sincerely recommend. More

A perfect location from which to explore the Brecon Beacons, this is an absolute gem of a B&B. Located within easy walking distance of Pen-y-Fan, the very comfortable guest accommodation is located in the old converted dairy; the owners, David and Rosemary, live just across the courtyard and keep a small but varied selection of livestock and manage a well-stocked... It's difficult to imagine a better location or more welcoming hosts. David and Rosemary have created an amazing small-holding in this idyllic location of which they are rightly proud and very keen to help you explore. Our room was very comfortable, complete with sofa and bed, and the en-suite included a very large wet-room shower. The guest lounge, complete with... More

If you would enjoy: real peace and quiet, proximity to great walking (Brecon Beacons on your doorstep), the warmest of welcomes, use of your own front door/sitting room/conservatory, full Welsh breakfasts (with duck eggs), cuddling new-born lambs, stroking new-born ducklings, a turkey gobbling companionably and, amazingly, the opportunity to star-gaze in an observatory with an enthusiastic and knowledgeable host, stay...
