Stayed here recently as its close to Wrexham Maelor Hospital where I had a meeting. Met by very friendly dog Rufus -what a lovely place full of the most interesting artefacts! Very comfortable will defo stay again and maybe explore more of Wrexham next time! Its so much cheaper that the other more 'upmarket but cold hotels'! More

Run by John and his trusty dog Rufus. I have stayed here before and as always find it welcoming, peaceful, clean and comfortable. Erddig House nearby is a nice afternoon walk away and its about 10 minutes walk to the town center. Staff are friendly and helpful and lovely fresh cooked breakfast. The conservatory overlooks a nice courtyard garden, and... More

We booked a christmas party for 12 people in December, when our organiser turned up to pay the deposits he was told no such booking had been made, our organiser asked to see the booking diary and our booking had been crossed out to be replaced by a christmas function for the police, even after our organiser pointed out our... I have been an occasional visitor to these premises for a number of years but have never stayed there and normally only to attend functions. The welcome is normally mixed, either very attentive or dismissive. I can well appreciate some of the negative reviews, that is the perception of customer care that I have from visiting the premises as well.... More

I booked two rooms at this hotel by phone as sometimes when you book on line the booking gets lost, after travelling for 7 hours we arrived at the hotel to be told that there was no rooms available, he said it must have been booked with his partner but he knew nothing about it but either way there was... The owner was away when we stayed, and so we were greeted by his brother who was looking after the hotel. We booked for a 2 night stay in room 1, which is described as a 'superior' double room. As warned by previous reviews, the decor was somewhat dated, but I could live with that. Previous reviews had described the... More

The owner couple was away and his brother Dr Allen along with his wife ran the hotel during my 3 nights stay. Both of them were very friendly, the rooms were super clean with modern furniture. The bed was very comfortable. I was asked whatever I wanted for breakfast and it was made accordingly. There is a beautiful outdoor sitting... More

John the owner could not have been more helpful, breakfast was good and the room very clean. The decor was old style and quaint, if you are looking for modern chic this is not the hotel for you but if you want a place with character and old fashioned service then this is it. More

This was our first visit to Wrexham, we stayed overnight at the Belmont Hotel before travelling on to Betws-y-coed. The hotel is a five minute walk from the main centre of Wrexham. There's space for around six cars in front of the hotel. We arrived just after 8:30pm and there was plenty of room. There's two front doors, I walked... More
