Having read lots of reviews, we decided to book a 2 night break here. We were met by Tim, a very friendly man and after a brief chat Tim showed us to our room. We stayed in the Robinson room which indeed was lovely. We decided to walk into Betws-Y-Coed on the first evening as alot of reviews said it... More

Just watching the trip advisor program on channel 4 and remembered our wonderful stay at afon Gwyn sept 2010. Stunning Alice suite where we stayed in luxury, amazing breakfasts and great hospitality - DVDs, books etc all our disposal. Still remembering the waffles with fruit and maple syrup a year on! Would love to return and will recommend to friends... More

We have just got back from a three night stay at Afon Gwyn. Tim was a fantastic host from the minute we arrived. Our room was five star and the breakfasts great. We would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the area and will stay again next time we are in this area of Wales. More

If you're after a quiet, peaceful retreat with fantastic hosts in North Wales then I really can't see how you can do any better than the Afon Gwyn. To put the comments into context, on our way back we spent a night at The Lowry in Manchester, a five star hotel with all the trappings of service and comfort that... More

We stayed here, my partner and I for a full week and I can safely say we had the most chilled out relaxing break ever. From the minute we arrived Tim kindly filled us in on all the local amenties and attractions sights etc to see. He was the most accommodating, helpful yet non intrusive host we've ever come across.... More

Was on a two day walking break, aside from wonderful sunny weather which was a real bonus, the Afon Gwyn Country House turned out to be just as lovely as in their photos. Tim was a great host, attentive but not intrusive, the house ticked every box from decor, cleanliness, spacious & contemporary with their own twist. My only negative... More

We stayed here for 2 nights while on a tour of Northern Wales. Our tour operator picked this B&B and he could not have found a better place. The whole experience was wonderful. We were travelling with another couple and we all found our rooms were comfy, the breakfast was delicious and the owner Tim was very gracious. The entire... More
