Lovely room friendly staff very good choice of food from smart restaurant to bar food. Situated in the centre of Betws y Coed. We had a lovely 2 night winter break and will certainly return. Only minor quibble the bed was a bit to hard. More

We stayed at the Stables Lodge at the end of December with our two children (aged 9 and 11) in a family room. Admittedly the price was very reasonable (but without breakfast, which we paid for separately and had at the Royal Oak Hotel). The room was a bit outdated, but the main issue was that the sofa bed was... More

this is a great place to stay in the heart of betws-y-coed. it's not a flashy hotel, but not many of us want a flashy hotel when we're heading to snowdonia!... we save that for our city breaks! i certainly wouldn't class it as basic. it's got everything you need - free car parking, decent sized bedroom, nice and clean,... Stayed for a night in September this year. The location of The Stables is great and the room was modern, spacious and clean. Although we had a little trouble initially checking in, we had a great stay on the whole. A busy bar is located below the rooms, but this didn't disturb out night sleep! The bar also serves fantastic... More

Betws-y-Coed is a really idyllic place to stay. A lovely village atmosphere with plenty of practical shops as well as places to buy souvenirs and gifts. You can actually get there by train but I think a car is pretty essential if you want to visit local attractions like Swallow Falls, Mount Snowdon. We based ourselves there to do a... More

Stayed 2 nights with a small group of friends to climb Snowden and enjoy the scenery. The Stables is a clean and modern facility, well equiped, very well located, with good food, accomodation, service and atmosphere at a sensible price. Yes, it would be nice if the breakfast was included in the price, and also if the church bell was... More

The Stables are the perfect budget option for exploring Snowdonia. Located right in the middle of the beautiful Betws-y-Coed, with great transport links into the Snowdonia National Park. We loved our time here, nice shops, great cafes and restaurants and beautiful scenery. The Hotel was cheap, clean and comfortable. We will definitely be returning. More

Betws y Coed is a beautiful location, and the buildings have such character, considering the touristy nature (walkers and climbers, in the main) of the village. The Royal Oak hotel is a major player in the Betws y Coed tourism market - catering to the higher paying guests. The Stables Lodge is the Royal Oak's 'budget' offering, and it must... More

Quick glance: + central location + value for money + car park inclusive until 11pm on day of departure - can be noisy at night (located above a pub / beer garden) - breakfast excluded The Stables Lodge is part of / next to the Royal Oak Hotel. It is located in the middle of Betws-y-Coed, which is a great... More
