I first found the Ty Gwyn about ten years ago just by picking it out of a list. I was looking for a place for a men's winter walking weekend. I've been taking teams of men every year since then, and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The ambiance is wonderful, relaxed ... perfect after a day on the... More

However saying this i think the staff arent very welcoming we did not even recieve a good morning even though the lady was sitting on the desk and though a beautiful restaurant serving a lovely evening meal... Have just returned from a 3 night stay at Ty Gwyn and it was a wonderful weekend. The food, accommodation, and service was 5 star. Even though we were in one of the smaller rooms, it was really comfy and the decor was lovely. So glad we've found this little gem in a spectacular part of north Wales. Will definitely... More

My girlfriend and I had a most enjoyable stay at the Ty Gwyn. We hadn't been to this part of the world before and didn't know what to expect. However, we were given a good welcome and shown to our room very quickly, in fact much earlier than advertised. Nothing seemed to too much trouble for the young staff. We... More

My first visit here was excellent, but standards may have slipped. The place is still very lovely and cosy but the breakfast staff were curt and made us feel bad for being late to breakfast. The building was cold (it was late December, but even so) and the creaking of the floor from upstairs seems to have got deafening. A... More

We have just spent our honeymoon at Ty Gwyn. Betws y Coed is our favourite place for day trips so decided that 3 nights at this beautiful old coaching inn would be perfect & we weren't disappointed. Room 9b was cosy & romantic with a four poster & spa bath. The food was a gastronomic delight. We had a fantastic... More

Just wanted a quick cider and tried the Ty gwyn as we had tried to book a room for 2 nights but they wouldn't except just 2 nights, it was over new year. Although they only have a restaurant license apparently so we had to have some lunch. We asked for 2 prawns sandwiches, we both went for brown bread... More

Stayed a few weeks back, 6 adults and 2 kids under 5, weekend away with grandparents. We have stayed many times, but our parents haven't. Family Room, 14 I think, was perfect, kids loved it, tucked away up its own staircase, safe for us whilst eating in the restuarant. Meals and breakfast brilliant as usual and the service spot on.... We stayed at the Ty Gwyn Inn just last night the 1st December, I had been looking for a rustic style Inn for a couple of days and for some reason this place caught my eye, we had only decided to book with them in the morning of our trip, booking was easy and they gave us the four poster... More
