I stayed here with a group of girls for my friends Hen weekend. Some of the others were in a hotel in the centre of town, but we were so glad we booked here instead as the rooms were nicer and alot cheaper. It's very modern which is unusual for a B&B and cleanliness was very good. Location is a... more

I attempted to book a double room at this good rate, with about a month's notice.I spoke to the mother, who took a card number and said the full amount would be taken by her daughter several days before arrival.{1 August}.Several weeks later,I rang today ,not having had any confirmation, only to be told by the same woman that she couldn't find us... more

This family-run B&B is in a residential area of Abergavenny less than 10 mins walk from centre and train station. Don't be confused by the Google map on this page as it seems to be wrong. It is on a Charles Church development, probably only a few years old, so it does not appear on satnav or maps. Head for... more

What a shame, agreed price by telephone for a double (non en suite) £45 p/n and further agreed to pay £10 pp for breakfast. No mention of non credit card booking fee of £2. Bill on statment was £87. When I raised this on arrival with proprietor's husband, I was advised he couldn't discuss it as money was the domain... more

Excellent b&b with a legendary breakfast. The only minor things are: (1) let the owners know the night before if you want breakfast, and (2) be careful following satnav/google maps to the location as the roads are new and possibly not marked. Go along Lower Monk St., cross the mini-roundabout and then make a right following the sign to the... more

As other reviewers have stated, this is a modern property in a new estate. I enjoyed the modern decor and the extra touches in the rooms such as bottled water, bathrobes and slippers. The breakfast was amazing with a huge selection of fruit, yoghurts and breads - in addition to the cooked to order breakfast. The host is a fantastic... more

If it’s first class accommodation to first class food then you have found the perfect choice. Upon arrival at Ty Llew you are met with a warm welcome and shown to your bedroom where you will find cleanliness and furnishings to the highest standard, small touches like slippers and dressing gowns, bottled water to the chocolate mints give an air... more

Fantastic stay. Very clean and comfortable rooms - well provided extras with attention to detail -also TV DVD etc - but bad reception of BBC1 and we wanted to watch the Oympics! Lovely breakfasts - more than we could eat but everything you could imagine. Agree that it is slightly away from the centre but only 10 mins walk into... more

This is a slightly unusual B&B. Most B&Bs in my experience tend to be in older properties, whilst this house is brand new - indeed Charles Church is still putting the finishing touches to the rest of the estate. Being a new property, the rooms are on the small size. But it is very nicely furnished, and the hosts are... more
