This was a late booking, trusting the Internet, and coming up trumps. Our "Superior"" room was large, and had the benefit of patio doors to the delightful garden.Whilst we were told that we had a discounted rate of £120 Inc breakfast,I would not have paid more. It needed attention, particularly in the bathroom, but we spent little time in the room,so who cares. Breakfast was incredible,so... More

Having searched for a good hotel at the end of a tiring day we were recommended the above. Staff at reception a little prickly but room was comfortable, well appointed super bed linen and good sized with a modern bathroom. Shower was complicated and didn't fully operate but that was a small failing. Evening meal was well priced, wines priced... More

The Internet is a wonderful thing, because without it we would never have found what has now become our new favourite hotel. This is a small 17 bedroom end hotel in the middle of the North Wales countryside but within easy reach of Snowdonia National Park and Anglesey. Extremely friendly owners and staff who obviously take great pride in their... More

My husband and I are both in catering and I have to say that we were both really impressed. The hotel has a lovely homely, clean atmosphere, and the staff are really helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The food was absolutely fantastic in a beautiful hotel. We will most definitely be back!!!!

We stayed here for 2 nights, and could not fault anything. The staff were extremely helpful, The room excellent, and the food superb. I will be looking to stay here again at some time The hotel is just far enough off the beaten track to be nice and quiet, but only a few minutes from the snow don railway, which... More

My partner and I stayed during the weekend of the Snowdonia Marathon (which I ran) for two nights.... After a 5 hour car journey we received the most charming welcome, and were shown around the bar, restaurant, lounge and conservatory (which were all decorated to the highest quality) before being shown to our room. The bed was huge and very... More

The care given by the staff and the comfortable surroundings made us feel at home. We appreciated the good food and our clean, cozy room after a day of strenuous hiking. The property's location, situated between Snowdonia and Anglesey, is convenient and quiet. The restaurant appears to be a special occasion place for local residents, who were friendly and engaging.... More

During a recent visit here we offered some feedback on the service and food when asked if 'everything was okay' (food excellent, service sometimes leaves a lot to be desired) and ended up on the wrong side of the manager/owner. If you like it here, great; if you don't, I suggest you keep your thoughts to yourself, lest you get... More

Although it's position is out of the way, we found it with no trouble and it was very accessible by car to all the places we wanted to visit. We opted for a smaller double room, which was exactly as described, the decoration and fittings were first class, plenty of tea/coffee making with fresh milk available if required. Towels, bedding... We stayed for 2 nights on a dinner bed & breakfast deal, and we thought excellent value for money and excellent location for us, as we were walking in Snowdonia. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners each evening, and breakfasts were equally good. Good wine list and local beers and even Welsh Gin on offer. Great lounge and conservatory, and gardens... More
