We stayed in the family room on the top floor which was up a couple of flights of stairs. The room was clean and smart and the bathroom modern and fresh. Very quiet location. Excellent breakfast. 30 second walk to the sea front and 10 minutes into the centre of Aber (quicker if you are a faster walker than me... More

Our room was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay, as I was picking up my son and his friend from University, Hilary and Clive were only too happy to provide 2 extra breakfasts for 2 young people who could happily consume their own weight in cereal! Will certainly stay again in September and plan to stay a... More

We picked this B&B as it's close to University halls and were not disappointed. Victorian house with character. Our room (room 8) at the top of the house was a good size for 2 people with nice decor, 2 armchairs, tv, tea/coffee/hot chocolate selection and ensuite shower room - a cosy retreat. Steps up to front door, friendly welcome from... More

This is a perfect place to stay in Aber. Well located right next to the sea front, the rooms are well decorated, spacious and comfortable. There was a nice bathroom with a great shower in my room. There is free wifi, which I think is excellent. The only very minor issue is a lack of a desk in the room,... More

Just spent three very nice nights in the charming B&B . The location is perfect and the hosts Hilary and Clive are very accommodating . The breakfast is very good and plentiful. Just one minor comment is that our bed was very squeaky but this is our only comment for what was a very enjoyable stay.

I stayed for two nights but would happily have stayed for longer. Charming period house with great architectural detail in hall and staircase. My room spacious, clean, quiet and very comfortable with nice armchairs to sink into and good tea making facilities. The bathroom had a good shower - not always possible at the top of a house if the... More

An excellent family run B & B. Hilary and Clive are great hosts and make you feel very welcome. Rooms are an excellent size and have been or are currently being refurbished to a high standard. The en-suite had a nice big bath with plenty of hot water. The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet. In the morning we were treated... More

We hadn't particularly planned to stay in Aberystwyth, so didn't book anywhere in advance. When we arrived we parked the car and had a wander round looking for somewhere to stay. This place is just off the sea front but looked a lot nicer than any of the ones there. Trip Advisor reviews were positive so we decided to try... More

We had a very enjoyable stay here. We were delighted by the size and the decor of the room - spacious, very unique and full of character. The extra little touches in the form of cotton wool/cotton buds were a nice addition. The shower gel has an AMAZING smell: it was tempting not to sneak out with it but having... More

Thank you Hilary and Clive for being so accommodating- perfect hosts! The Bodalwyn Guest House is situated a short walk to the promenade. My room was beautifully decorated and had so much space, I felt right at home! The bedroom and ensuite were impeccably clean and there was a generous tea/coffee making corner with biscuits and a bottle of Welsh... More
