I had no choice but to book here as the rest of windsor was full, so begrudgingly paid my £101 for a twin room. Checked in and trudged to room to find no second bed, no bedding for bed settee and no towels, oh, and no phone to phone reception! Trudge back down to reception and ask for someone to... More

Having read some of the recent negative reviews I'm starting to wonder if we stayed at the same hotel! Yes, Travelodges are basic but they don't brand themselves as 5 star luxury so you should know what to expect before you arrivel Our room was very clean, we'd taken the advice of previous travellers and booked a higher family room... this is worse than basic! The carpets were filthy & stained (see picture) the mattress on the bed was old and in need of replacement as were the sheets. The towels in the room were like cardboard & the decor was grubby and in need of refreshing. The bedroom has no curtains only a roller blind and as others have... More

Like everything in life, you get what you pay for. Travelodge markets itself on its value for money. Perhaps what they mean is you pay a little so you get a little. The bedroom was so bare it was like a prison cell. No curtains, just a plain white roller blind. There was a big expanse of carpet where the... More

RUN, from the moment you leave the desk and go through the doors to the elevators you know something is up. Walls are all beat up. On the elevator half of the words and letters have been torn off the wall and have been touched up with like white out. We get off the elevator and stuff is spilled all... More

Let me start with the few positive things about that hotel: location - very good, 3 minutes to get anywhere in Windsor (is it surprising in a small town?), bur noisy, external elevation looks quite good. And that's the end of positive part. Negative: depends on how much you pay for it and what do you expect. I booked it... More

In general the hotel was clean and comfortable and great value for money, especially if you pre-book on a non-refundable basis. The hotel is right in the heart of Windsor, one minute from the main shops and 5 minutes from the castle. We stayed with friends and the location made a great base for our walks around the town and... More

My husband and I stayed at the Windsor Travelodge over the bank holiday week-end. On arrival we requested an early check in. I informed the man on reception that I had telephoned earlier in the week to request a double room on a high floor, with a view of the castle and had been told that this would be no... More

There are several night clubs under the hotel in the arches as the hotel is next to the main train station - you cant gurantee which rooms you will get I stayed at weekend and noise so bad - fighting, very loud music on and off - had to move rooms and found several others did also. Basic rooms bedding... More

We stayed here for one night in a family room in February 2012. The location is fantastic, with the castle being right on your doorstep. Our room was clean and comfortable. We didn't eat in the restaurant as there are so many wonderful alternatives right on your doorstep. We would come back again. More
