We went for a pre theatre meal and drink. Food was excellent as was the service. The décor and furniture very good. We were asked if we were going to the theatre and when we said yes, we were entitled to a 20% discount on the food bill!!!

Good location for the city and very friendly staff. Our room was basic (what you expect for £50 a night in that location) the bed was comfy and the shower powerful ....on the downside though....room smelt like cooking oil, gap under adjoining door meant we got to know our neighbours very well...and they weren't very noisy! Had a lovely stay room was clean, a tad noisy but to be expected right in the centre but really convienent to bars theatre and shopping which are all on your doorstep. Great staff I must say :) Thank you and will be back when the new arena opens

Went for afternoon tea on a special voucher deal. Having had difficulties with the booking before the day, when we arrived we asked to see the manager. Andrew had just started this week and made our visit a pleasant experience.

Booked here for its closeness to the Grand theatre across the road. With hindsight, that was the only positive to say about this hotel. The bar downstairs looks really inviting, had a recent refurb BUT wolf in sheeps clothing and all that. The upstairs where all the rooms are, are shambolic. Room needs a bit updating but does the job,clean and tidy, very helpful manager and staff even offered till carry buggy up the stairs u don't often get that these days, would stop here again as there is beds for the kids and not just a pull out settee like most places !!
