My wife and I stayed at the MET 11th February 2012. We entered the hotel to find a very modern quality Lobby. Upon checkin at the desk the staff member dealing with us smirked as he told us we were in room 605. When we arrived on the 6th floor there was a smell that you would expect to find... More

My partner and I stayed at the hotel last night for our first night away since having our baby. With money being tight I couldn't afford to upgrade to an executive room but the hotel were lovely and ensured our experience was special by allocating us a gorgeous big double room with lovely fluffy robes, bottled water and chocolate. The... More

My husband and I had booked to come to Opera North's production of "Norma" and were looking for a budget hotel in Leeds. The Metropole was far better than a budget hotel but we were pleasantly surprised by the price (£109 for the two of us for two nights with full English breakfast, booked through Superbreak). When we arrived we... More

Executive room. Peeling wall paper, damp, blocked sink, fuzzy tv and the smallest double bed ever! Plus side service was great and nothing too much trouble More

Stayed here few times and not a bad place. Room was nice, bed comfortable but let down by the fact it was very cold. Sure it was cold outside but neither of radiators would work (presume set centrally) so ended up wrapping up in two duvets just to keep warm. Also let down by the shower which was more of... More

we stayed for one night and was upgraded to another room as it was my birthday(very nice of the managment). The room was very clean and had everthing that you would need, didn,t have no reason to involve the staff as everthing was spot on. I arrived for a 3-day business stay. Altough the public areas are extremely grand and have been lovingly restored the same can't be said for the bedrooms. I was initially given a room on the 5th floor. This floor doesn't appear to have been given any updates as it was sparse and reminded me of a hotel room in the... More

Flying visit to the hotel as we were on a stag weekend. Managed to check in before the stated check in time which was great. Large twin room with a nice bathroom, couldn't really ask for more. Skipped breakfast in the morning as it was £10, went to a cafe around the corrner instead to save ourselves a few quid. More

I have stayed regularly in this hotel for the past few weeks due to working in Leeds; I had tried several other hotels prior to settling in this one. The entrance is very welcoming with particularly beautiful chandalier in the entrance foyer. The bar and restaurant are equally welcoming and relaxing; the staff were the most helpful, cheerful and pleasant... More

Was booked into this hotel for one night. Company rate was about £65 B&B and was good value for city centre hotel. Was given a room on the 6th floor - beware the lift only goes to the 5th floor, so stairs thereafter. This morning the (one and only) life was out of order, which meant a nice walk down... More
