We checked in on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted by the manager Mr Ward who was extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was excellent and very spacious. The evening meal and Sunday breakfast were at a very high standard. The staff were all very helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended and only a 5 minute walk from the... More

I stayed here for one Saturday with my husband. Our room's air conditioning system repeatedly woke us throughout the night by automatically switching on and then making an awful noise. We told the receptionist who explained how to turn it off but she failed to grasp that the problem was that because it was faulty, we had to keep getting... More

Been to The New Ellington before and this time stayed on Thursday night on the last week of April. The stay was again excellent with friendly staff at the reception desk. Parking across the street was available for a small fee. Breakfast was excellent and peaceful. Nothing to complaint at all and a very pleasant stay. We are a regular... More

We stayed here with our business partners on a "lets get away from the norm" trip as a treat for working hard. the Hotel is in a nice quiet street away from the main night life but close enough to walk right into the centre where you will find everything you would want for a good night out. The more... More

I stayed here for my wedding anniversary last May, this was our second stay and certainly won't be our last! The room was spacious and everything you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. We also ate in the restaurant and the food was fabulous both for dinner and breakfast, truely a great experience!

We've stayed here three times, visiting family in Leeds. First time, excellent. And the breakfast was terrific. Stay two, with a baby. A cot was provided but when i asked for towels the receptionist assumed they would be handed back covered in poo and was reluctant. The hotel was empty, so i thought and he eventually sent up towels. Stay... More

Things started badly for my visit to this Hotel as a member of staff had to break into my room to allow me to enter it - clearly, the cleaner had experienced the same issue as there was an empty bottle of wine in the fridge, a used cotton bud in the Bathroom and a stained quilt cover. James, the... More

We stayed one night at this hotel with two other couples. The hotels is centrally located and you can park right outside the front door. The parking is on a meter and it is then free after 6pm on Saturday and free on Sunday. The hotel is beautifully appointed based around a jazz theme. We had all booked executive doubles... More

My partner and i trave in the UK frequently and stay at a lot of hotels but the New Ellington in Leeds has been one of our favorites. Lovely hotel with Art deco style rooms and a private balcony.
