I stayed at the Hotel on business recently, the stay was ok and definitely not the nightmare I feared after reading some of the reports. The staff were all polite and helpful but there’s one that demands a special mention and that's the barmaid Claire.

Arrived 5pm to find the room not cleaned. Moved to another room which someone appeared to be occupying. Moved to another room...cleaner went in beforehand! Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Website lists all amenities that you would expect, and many cases require. The reality is completely different. Dirty rooms, carpets and walls are unbelievable, no room service, no wifi in rooms, heating is either on full or off, no proper restaurant, only very limited bar snack menu available. Have stayed here many times in the past. Excellent value, rooms are equipped with large flat screen tv's, comfortable beds. Recently undergone a refurbishment which has made an improvement all round.
