I stayed a night in September 2006, the hotel is okay, but oh my God the noise!! the hotel is located in the middle of several night and gent's club in the city centre and normally after 12am you have to bear the noise until 3 am ! apart from that, the hotel is okay. more

I stayed here in October while in Birmingham for a weekend. The rooms themselves were basic but clean and perfectly adequate for one night. Location in respect of the city centre was good BUT I was there at the weekend with a room overlooking the bars and restaurants behind the hotel and it was very noisy even with two sets... more

I recently visited the hotel, whilst going to watch a gig at the Birmingham Academy. It was quick to check in and the rooms were in good condition, if slightly on the small side. The location was perfect for what our group required, however it is near to several bars. Luckily for us we were staying on a Tuesday so... more

Stayed here with a few collegues of mine. Who puts a club under a hotel???? Throughout the whole night we could hear the music from the club downstairs. My colleague asked to change rooms because of this. Granted, they did change her room, but the noise levels in the new room were worse. We won't be staying there again. more

I stayed at this hotel for one night at the end of January 2010. The hotel looks ok from the outside and the reception area is fine too, although nothing fancy. It seems to be in a good enough location, apparently in the middle of Chinatown and close to the Bullring. The room was in real need of refurbishment, especially... more

After reading some reviews of Ibis hotels in Birmingham, we were concerned at what we would get to say the least. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Hotel clean and well presented, staff very friendly, breakfast nice, perfectly located. And for 30 pounds per person on New Years Eve, who can complain?!! more

I stayed in this hotel with my partner for a weekend just before Christmas. It is in a great location, close to the main shopping area and all the pubs and restaurants. We had a great night sleep after our night out and enjoyed a great shower in the morning. The breakfast was really good and we liked that it was... more

Stayed at the Ibis with my wife for a weekend in November, as we were going for a comedy evening to a nearby Glee Club, which is literally a stone throw away! Nice hotel, superb location right in the city centre with everything you want within a walking distance. We also booked a good deal online, so the room was... more

It's diabolical, after taking 25 minutes to book in because one of the rooms in our group had been signed out to some one else, a quick drink in the worlds noisiest but atmosphereless bar - I headed to my room. I might as well have been in the bleeding club that is obviously directly beneath the hotel- yep it's... more
