Welcome to 1979! This Travelodge appears to be the most in need of refurbishment in the whole of the UK. Incredibly dated with possibly the most uncomfortable bed I have ever had the misfortune to 'sleep' in. The only way it gets the second star is due to the £30 price for a holiday weekend. They also charge for parking... More

Having stayed in a travel lodge before I knew what to expect however as soon as I collected my key and dropped my bags off I felt uneasy about staying here I stayed here on the 29th April for 1 night as it was too crowded to stay at my nans. I appreciate it was only £19 but you do... More

Personally I wouldnt stay here again, for one the reception was unmanned and I had to wait for a while, you had to pay for parking and for what I paid for the room I expected more! The bed was very creaky and uncomfortable and there was dust on the dresser. What you pay for it is not worth it!

In this day and age you can afford to shop around and get a cheap hotel, especially booking in advance. Why is this hotel still open? I feel like I've just slept in 1982! Covered in mould, lights from outside shine through the window, the bathroom equipment looks like something you find on Dickenson's real deal and I was kept... More

I made the mistake of booking a two night stay (8th and 9th of April) but ended up cancelling the second night which would have been £35. As the first night was on a £19 offer I bit my lip and endured it. The room smelled of sweaty feet and the bed hadn't been made properly. Not a good start... More

Poor value for a budget hotel, no phones in rooms no shower gels etc. won't stay there again. Bad standard though in a convinient place. The rooms not clean. They need to upgrade the reception first was not impressed but was very late at night and was desperate to stay to continue to London after having a few drinks

This hotel is desperately in need of modernising. I don't mind old fashioned - I'm no prude. I have stayed in military accommodation and hostels which have been as basic as it gets and comes straight from the 1960's in terms of styling. But despite my normally happy approach to hotels I have to say this Travelodge pushed my boundaries.... More

What do you expect for the price, book early, basic room, but had bath, everything worked, although the shower/bath tap was a law unto itself and wet my head several times. Good sized rooms, decent quality for the price, excellent for a cheap gettaway when you just need a place to lay your head.

Don't believe what you read I have stayed for a week and can't fault the hotel, and all the staff are very helpful especially Zoe.the room was very clean and warm my room was opposite the main road and was very quiet, all the staff work hard to make your stay enjoyable.

We arrived early evening on one of the coldest days of the year. The room was freezing with one small heater. There were two towels, one large and one small, one small bar of soap for washing hands, no shampoo/shower gel or anything. The bed had two small, flat pillows and one thin blanket. We asked for another towel and... More
