Although slightly shabby this hotel has everything you'd require if your only staying for one or two nights and you need somewhere to put your head down near the train station and close to Birmingham city center. The rooms are small but clean and serviceable. There is a bar which is always a bonus.

Probably the worst night ever spent in a hotel. Room dirty, toilet leaking, stairways filthy and staff were not interested. Even insisted the toilet was not leaking even the floor flooded every time we flushed the loo. E booked out after the first night.

This hotel is a shambles, The rooms are mismatch and dirty, the bedding was stain , when complained to manger he stated that , it be OK as i don't sleep on the divan bed as the divan had blood and what looked like seaman deposits the sheets and pillow cases had what i could only think was pubic hair.... Poor room and breakfast but good location just 50 meters than New street station Birmingham. The rooms are very old mainly at the 9th floor.The coffee is like a socks juice and the orange juice come from BASF and not real orange...

we stayed here on the 9th june as we were going to see bon jovi at villa park..... the room was dated and a few cleaning issues manly the bath could of done with a good clean apart from that the room ok beds were clean and comfy plenty of tea/coffee in the room towels were a good standard ....this... This hotel is a true disgrace, I've never been anywhere so small smelly and dirty. I have to say I will never be stoping here ever again. I have stayed in many Britannia hotels and I a, fully aware younger what you pay for, I know they are all old, run down and dirty but this hotel truly topped it... More

We found the Britannia to be a bargain on a recent trip to Birmingham for a pub crawl. A triple room with no frills was £20 each and the hotel is within a 2 minute walk of Birmingham New Street station.
