This is a very charming hotel. The first impression as you drive down towards to hotel is great! The building is very nice....It was built in the 9th century, I believe. The service is good. The hotel is lovely to look at as you aproach it, the staff at the desk were pleasant, although I cannot see why they would need to take a £50 deposit given that the rooms aren't cheap anyway. We came here for a wedding. What spoiled it was the 'couldn't give a toss' attitude of the staff. Purely lazy and not customer focused or helpful at all. What a shame, as that made such a bad first impression it all went down hill from there. more
