We spent two nights at the Mary Arden along with our American friend. Rooms were small and a little tired but, very clean. Food in the bar was plentiful and typical average pub fayre. The situation, in a small village, is very pleasant and quiet. It is an ideal location just a few minutes drive from Stratford on Avon and... More

wonderful, wonderful! a beautiful room (with the somewhat unpleasant name "merchant of Venice"), beautifully decorated, spacious, big, well equipped bathroom with a tub (only guests are asked to dip in one by one - so no romantic baths together!) , great atmosphere of an old, rustic English cottage. friendly, helpful service made us feel as if we were hosted by... I stayed in this hotel in early sep 2011. I found the whole place in need of good clean. The rooms were dated and funiture and bedding were not clean. In addition there were trees growing through the windows from the outside walls. The shower within the bathroom was very small, which meant washing was difficult. The staff were unhelpful... More

We just loved our one night stay here and the location over a country pub was just great. Staff were very helpful and the room was delightful. Oh and the dog was very friendly too, and we would definitely stay again. More

A great place to stay. Very homely feel, with friendly staff. The hotel hostess/greeter (Jessie the dog) was a wonderful addition. Good breakfast (best poached eggs in UK). Wilmcote is a wonderful, picturesque village with an interesting history locals were only too happy to share. Received many friendly "good mornings" on walk around the beautiful canals. Handy to Stratford on... More

Lovely hotel/inn well located for getting in and out of Stratford. We had a four poster bed which was amazing!! Rooms where very clean and had everything you needed - ironing facilities, TV, DVD, hair dryer etc Would love to stay when they have the full compliment of staff as their general manager/chef had recently left, leaving them understaffed and... Initial confusion about our booking (Australian site Need It Now) was pleasantly and quickly dealt with by very friendly management and staff. Very clean and well presented, good food, in a lovely village atmosphere. Walk down road opposite, past Mary Arden's farm and along the canal. Great value for money. More

Stayed in Romeo & Juliet room with 4 poster bed, which had a jacuzzi bath. Food was great and piping hot, good selection of real ale and wine. Good quality products in full english breakfast. Prompt service was experienced. This is a traditional inn in a small sleepy village. Would stay again, More

On arrival we were led to our room which was the King Lear suite. A lovely sized room with an enormous bed, but sadly had not been freshened up despite 3 months notice of the dates of our stay. The room was extremely dusty and the bathroom unclean with towels that had not been washed properly. We immediately complained at... More
