I always stay in innkeepers lodge, falcons nest near gosforth, newcastle upon tyne to visit relatives, it is within sight of the a1 for motorists ( but you cant hear the traffic from the lodge, downstairs anyway ) 5 miles from newcastle city centre, 20 mins bus ride to city (near bus stop with frequent buses ), 5 mins by... more

Stayed for a night on the way up to Alnwick . chech in was fast and the room was spacious and really clean and in a quiet location but it was just of the A1 as well .The pub next door serves great food and the buffet continental breakfast the next morning was all you needed to start the day... more

stayed for 2 nights whilst on business, and the family came along for the ride, 3 of us in total, excellent value for money, clean and tidy, if you are staying Up North! then you will not find anywhere more convenient or better value for money. more

We stayed here prior to catching an early flight from Newcastle airport, which is a mere ten minutes drive away. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, the pub to which it is attached serves good pub grub and the staff are friendly and helpful, even offering to serve breakfast for us well before their normal breakfast service. The only drawback... more

This is the second time I have stayed here in the last 4 months and I can highly recommend it. For budget accommodation it is good value for money as the rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious and on both occasions it was very quiet. Buffet breakfast is plentiful and the staff very helpful. Being just off the A1 it is... more

We stayed just for one night, but it had everything we needed, and at £59 for the room including breakfast for two, it was ideal. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for reasonably-priced, clean, comfortable motel-style accommodation. more

We used this hotel as a base for visiting relatives in the area and thought it very good value for money when booked under their "3 nights for the price of 2" offer. The room was clean, modern and quite spacious with a comfortable bed. TV has main channels and number of Sky sports and news channels. Tea and coffee... more

We booked this accommodation for 4 people over the Easter weekend. The rooms were bright, clean and comfortable with a spotless bathroom and a good shower. As a budget hotel its first class, in fact some 4* properties we have stayed in have not represented such good value for money! The only minor gripe I had was that our room... more

I recently spent two nights here and can't recommend it highly enough. I pre-booked online which meant a minimum of fuss at check-in, only needed to sign for my key and pick up my receipt. The hotel feels secure, requiring a key card to get into the foyer, and the foyer itself is clean, bright and tidy as are the... more
