Just got back from a 2 night stay at the hotel with my girlfriend. Its a great hotel in a fantastic location only a short walk from all the attractions and night life, but you wont be disturbed as it has triple glazing. Rooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable. Upon returning to our room on... more

Really nice hotel, we had a deluxe room which was beautiful, very clean, lovely sheets, big towels and so on. The staff were really helpful too.Breakfast was only ok, but not the worst I've had! The room had nice decor, bed, chairs, table and so on. Would definitely stay again. more

We endured this hotel for one night. We travelled up from North Wales for our sons wedding and had the misfortune to pick this hotel, as a stopover before continuing on to Langley Castle. Our party comprised of eleven adults including groom to be. We were promised the rooms would be newly refurbished, but were put in substandard accomodation. Some... more

When work booked me into this hotel for a week, I went straight onto tripadvisor and stressed out no end at the bad reviews. Being 6 months pregnant, I was not too pleased to be asked to stay in a hotel which had such bad reviews... But I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. I... more

the first thing i saw when i entered the room was the chipped furniture - twin beds zipped together "all the de luxe rooms have these" said the manager meant sleeping in a hollow or 4 feet apart -not very romantic. I was offered a standard double with a double bed but the room was tiny and the window was... more

My room was clean, well-designed and overlooked Grey Street, which The Times newspaper has described as Europe's most beautiful street. Staff were pleasant and attentive. It was better value than all 4* competitors in the town and easily outclasses them for location. more

Stayed here 12/12/09. Carpet in room was disgusting - absolutely filthy. When I complained I was told it wasn't dirty just stained!! (work that one out...) but was due to be replaced in any case. Paintwork and walls chipped and stained. Long black hair on bathroom floor, shower knob came off in my hand. Only one set of towels. TV... more

Many thanks for your comments and we are naturally very sorry you were dissatisfied with your stay and disappointed to hear about your experience relating to the carpets and paintwork. We have already started a programme of refurbishment which includes replacing carpets and re-decorating rooms, and have replaced 15 carpets (or maybe put a third of the carpets) to date...

I spent the weekend at Greystreet hotel with a group of friends for a shopping trip. For the last 14 years we have been staying at 4 and 5 star hotels in major British and European cities for these annual trips. Before we left I read the reviews on this site and was a little worried - but honestly -... more

After booking this hotel and reading other guests' reviews I was a little worried - but I had none of the problems that others had experienced . This hotel is within walking distance of the main shopping centre and I fould the staff very accommodating and pleasant - my room was absolutely fine - clean, comfortable, quiet, etc. even though... more

We stayed for two nights this weekend and were left slightly disapointed. We paid for delux rooms that were advertised as having more space, water, bathrobes and natural light. On arrival we had to phone reception to request the bathrobes which were then removed on the second day, on requesting these again we were told they had run out. There... more
