Having read the reviews I booked overnight fro a business trip. Staff were friendly and helpful but standard of the room was poor. Rather shabby and bathroom had definitely seen better days. Shower - well I would have to have ran around the shower to get wet the pressure was so poor!. I opted for a bar meal which was... More

This hotel is OK but seriously lacking in charisma - the rooms are bland and a bit 'prison cell like'. It's location (within a shopping precinct) is not at all clear from the website so it's difficult to find the entrance and it feels like a community centre as you arrive. as a result i feel it's priced a bit... The showers seem to take a few minutes to get up to temperature but worth it when they do... Hotel is a bit spread out but once you get your bearings... More

this is a well presented, clean and tidy hotel. staff were friendly and responded quickly to queries. however from the website we did not get the impression that it is part of the whickham shopping centre that it mentions being close to - and the views are across the valley across the metro centre. well positioned for visits to durham,... I booked this hotel as I was taking three of my Grandchildren on short trip while their parents celebrated there 10th Wedding Anniversary. The reason I chose this hotel is that they have a three bedroom apartment and it was close to the Beamish museum. The Apartment was modern, very clean and the kitchen has everything you need including the... More

This suited us, as according to the website a deluxe room was inclusive of everything you'd expect from a deluxe hotel room, including a bath. However when we got there, we realised that they... We only had a meal in the restaurant, so can't comment on the rooms. Me and my mrs called in on the spur of the moment, only saying we were goning to have a main course. We ended up having a 3 course meal. Both of us had the asparagus starters, i opted for the chicken kiev with orange &... More
