I stayed at the Kenilworth in order to check it out before recommending it to my clients. After reading a disappointing review about varying conditions of the bedrooms, I was a little apprehensive of booking. i queried this with the hotel at the point of booking and I was assured that the rooms are upgraded/refurbished on a regular basis. The... more

We booked this hotel through LateRooms.com and we paid £75 per room per night, which is half of the price advertised on the Kenilworths website. We mainly chose the hotel due to the private carparking out back and the location. We also thoroughly enjoy tapas quite regularly so the 10% off all meals in the hotels Tapas bar/restaurant was tempting.... more

We are very disappointed to receive this review . The room in question was redecorated with new curtains and carpet recently , it also has 2 large windows and cannnot be described as dingy. Nowhere on our website do we advertise rooms at £150 per night. Our restaurant generally receives excellent reviews and we do not accept large rowdy parties,...

I stayed here with my husband and it has a really cosy feel. The restaurant looks fab although we only had breakfast here, and the rooms were modern and comfortable. We stayed in Room 1 and it was really comfortable and well decorated - bathroom was bit dated but was great for what we wanted. There was a hen do... more

On arrival myself and my friends were greeted at reception and promptly shown to our rooms with no complications. The rooms were very nicely decorated, I would say the hotel is more like a smallish boutique hotel with plush decor but also in an excellent location for the city centre and local amenities and restaurants etc. The restaurant downstairs is... more

My husband and I booked this hotel back in January 2009, for the Great North Run weekend. Usually if you receive confirmation with the hotels details and the money is taken from your credit card, it's pretty safe to assume your booking has been received. We turned up having travelled from Suffolk and it was soon obvious they didn't have... more

Stayed here on Sunday night in August 2009 , whilst flat hunting in the area for our daughter ,upon arrival at reception we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist guy who promptly dealt with us and took us up to our room. The room was bright, clean and had all the amenities that we required, the rooms have all... more

Stayed at the Kenilworth when I was on business in Newcastle and can highly recommend it. The rooms were clean, mine had been newly refurbished , and the plasma screen was an unexpected bonus! Breakfast was well cooked and the staff very friendly. Car park at the rear of the hotel a must in this busy area of town. Didn't... more

I stayed at the Kenilworth for a weekend with a group of lads. All i can say is the tapas was fantastic and the location for the bars on Osborne Road was first class. The center of Newcastle is also only a short taxi ride away so is perfect for wild nights out. The Hotel its self is no Hilton... more

We were there on a stag do and for the cost per person The Kenilworth was fantastic. Cheap imported Spanish beer, great food, comfortable beds, very friendly staff and slap bang in the middle of a load of quality bars full of half naked women. Heaven on earth never cost so little!! Thanks again guys!!! more
