i had previously stayed at the Dukes head in 2005 and was not very impressed with management and staff but since under new management has taken over i have been back to stay there and found that they were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. Specially all the refurbishment work to make the travellers feel more at home... more

Having stayed at the Dukeshead Hotel with the family the weekend if you like freindly pubs & hospitality this is the place to stay lovely refurbished lounge & sports room by the new owners i fully reccomend anyone staying one night or more in this lovely hotel more

The hotel is lovely, the room did have a low ceiling,but it added to the cosy feeling of the joint. Spotlessly clean,as was the bathroom.The bar/restuarant area was periodic, with an old rustic feel.
