My elderly mum and dad booked this B&B on my advice for my brother's wedding last Saturday. They wanted to stay somewhere quiet, and with easy access, for age and health reasons, and given it was their son's wedding it was important it all went well. On 7pm on the friday, the evening before, Wood Hall called to say that... More

It was great to be able to stay at Wood Hall: quite a grand house with large gardens and 2 very friendly dogs! We had a large room with a comfortable big double bed. Susan was very welcoming, good company and she looked after us really well - super cooked breakfast with local ingredients, and also cereals and toast on... More

We had a lovely 2 night stay in this beautiful, atmospheric house. If you like old houses packed with lovely furniture and interesting knicknacks you will love Wood Hall. Susan made us feel very welcome and once settled into our room, gave us tea and cake in the garden. She advised us on where to eat and where to visit.... More

Property is easy to find and easily accessible to main routes. Property is a superb example of a traditional Suffolk dwelling. Susan and Patrick are extremely friendly and receptive hosts who clearly demonstrate a desire to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. So, if you are seeking accomodation in Suffolk which is easily accessible, which is immaculate and... More

We enjoyed our stay at Wood Hall very much. We had a warm and friendly welcome from Susan and Patrick. The room was large with antique furniture and many pictures and had been well thought out. The bed was very comfortable with an electric blanket. Breakfast was served in the Georgian dining hall which had windows all around and a... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night as a base to visit some of the beautiful wool towns in the area. We arrived early on a cold winter's evening and were warmly greeted by the hosts who could not have been friendlier and more charming. The single negative experience of one of the previous reviewers was a total... More

Wood Hall is a wonderful old Georgian English country house on the side of a quiet road close to Lavanham. Across the road from it are rolling fields that stretch off to the horizon. We feel very fortunate that we stayed there. Our host, the Nisbetts, were very kind, interesting and hospitable. Our room was great! It could be one of... More

Wood Hall is a beautiful english country house, Georgian to front and richly beamed Tudor to the rear. The dining hall is splendid with an arched Tudor brick fireplace and tasteful furniture. On arrival we were offered afternoon tea and were made very welcome. There is plenty of parking and the property can be easily found. The bedrooms are very... More

The house is beautiful, and I can see why it's "old world" charm would appeal to overseas guests. But to us it felt claustrophic - we are both polite and presentable professional people, but didn't feel particularly welcome. Small examples - when we checked in we said that we were meeting friends at a local pub/restaurant for dinner (as part... More

England at its best. Susan & Patrick Nesbitt are gracious and charming hosts who did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We were offered afternoon tea when we arrived which was very welcome after a tedious journey. Our room was spacious and comfortable with lovely antique furniture and many extra touches including the tea/coffee tray with filter... More
