Stayed here after a day at Alton towers,it's sort of nearby 16 miles ish, very helpful receptionist, brought up some extra pillows within minutes of getting into room, hotel was very quite maybe because it was a Wednesday. There is a Toby inn next which is ideal for evening meal and breakfast. There are nearer hotels near Alton towers but as for price we couldn't... Stayed here on business, staff are very friendly and the restaurant attached is also good. However, the travelodge is in desperate need of updating. The carpets are fairly dirty and the furniture is variable as are the beds. The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. Could be really great but would also take the Premier Inn at Trentham for... More

This hotel is a good base to experience the Potteries by visiting the nearby Wedgwood center and its very interesting factory tour, numerous factory outlets for Portmeirion, Royal Worcester, Royal Doulton and Wedgwood. It's attached to a Toby Carvery, which provides a hearty breakfast that would do you better than the boxed breakfast the Travelodge offers. The decor is better... More

This will be my second time here, The first time it was an innkeepers lodge and I'm happy to see that they have kept the big rooms and comfy beds and not moved to the cheap and cheerful style that has to be honest spoiled travelodge the reception has now moved and is part of the hotel an manned 24... I have stayed at this hotel three or four times in the past, both in its former guise as an Innkeeper’s Lodge and also as a Travelodge. The Travelodge is a big improvement over the Innkeeper’s Lodge in that there is now a little reception, and therefore no longer a need to be checked-in by busy bar staff. I found... More

I've stayed here twice now since it's been taken over by Travelodge and they have certainly refurbished it to a great standard since taking over from Innkeepers lodge. I've had a room at the front overlooking the car park but it's quiet and also at the back overlooking the beer garden (this could cause some noise in summer?). The rooms... More

Just spent two days at the Travelodge 13th 14th Jan with my wife to attend a birthday party. It was good to find it had a large car park we managed to park close to the entrance. The Toby Carvery is attached to the hotel by a small walkway which was good considering the cold weather we had. The young... More

I paid £15 for one night in this hotel, and I was really impressed. The decor is warm and cosy, much nicer than some of the other Travelodges. The bathroom was modern, and the whole room was very clean. The widescreen TV is great. For £15 it's fantastic value, and it's easy to access from the M6 motorway. I had... More

Had to stay here for 1 night on business last week, as the nearby Premier Inn (Trentham Gardens) was full. That's the only reason that I would stay here again. The room is a fairly decent size, but was absolutely freezing cold when I went in ... turned the radiator up full & when I came back 3 hours later... More
