During our recent two night stay we found all the staff friendly, polite and helpful. We were offered a glass of champagne with our breakfast on Sunday morning! we declined as we were about to run the Lichfield half marathon, when we returned after the run we were given a glass of beer on the house. The room was a... More

I recently stayed at your hotel in Lichfield when my friends and i were attending a banquet at the Guildhall. I would just like to say thank you all for making our stay pleasant and comfortable and that the room and breakfast was excellent value for money. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The Grenadier Guards reunion... More

The Cathedral Lodge Hotel is just on the outskirts of the town and only a short walk into the centre with its shops, restaurants and museums. First impressions were of a slightly downbeat, outdated building but these were quickly dispelled on check in which was friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room, classed as an executive one, was tucked away in... More

Another stay here, yes it is a very tired building but the staff are friendly, pleasant and helpful, we had a complimentary bottle of wine in our room and drink at the bar, lovely large room to stay in, (301) would like to see more sachets of sweetners, and hot chocolate left in the rooms on the hospitality trays, a... Basic accomodation with a brilliant bar and a fantastic breakfast. Rooms were basic and a bit tired. Ours was over the smoking area so that was bad but they were full so we could not change it 203 and 202 :-( Staff were great and Breakfast was awesome. Brilliant value if you do not want the Ritz! £60 per room... More

We have just spent a night at this hotel and really could not fault it. In particular the staff were all pleasant, friendly and very helpful. The dinner menu was extensive and very reasonably priced. I am a vegetarian and the chef came out and said he would cook me whatever I fancied!! The room was clean and well decorated, bed... More

On booking and arrival reception staff were very helpful and once checked in offered to help us with our luggage. On first impressions the communal areas are tatty and tired, wallpaper off, carpets need a good clean and a very stale old smell follows you all around. Our room, on the top floor was pleasant enough and clean but still... More

Stayed here over Christmas with my husband and 2 boys. We had a lovely large family room with bunk beds for the boys so there was still loads of space for us to move about in. The staff were very friendly and informative. As we were there over Christmas, full service was not offered but we were informed of this... More
