overall very good, great welcome, comfortable room. Sausages let the breakfast down but otherwise lovely. To the reviewer who wrote about the "molton brown scam"; there's also a 4 poster and flatscreen tv scam - these were also mentioned in the description of the room but I was not permitted to take these with me either(!) We enjoyed our stay... More

We thank this guest for his review and his support in the matter of the Molton Brown scam. We have 2 of our Superior Four-Poster rooms. Although they are extremely similar in terms of size and facilities offered, one of the rooms is a very quiet and private affair on the lower, facing the garden. The other is on the... More

After a freezing day of sightseeing it was a pleasure to enjoy our warm comfortable room on the first floor. Was initially a little concerned by the proximity of the house to a major road but pleasantly surprised that we did not hear any noise. First rate breakfast. Easy walking distance to centre of Bath. Stayed here in April with my family and it was very enjoyable. Greeted warmly and welcomed with a nice cup of tea. Breakfast in the morning was very good, with a good selection of foods. The hotel is located only a few minutes’ walk from the Roman Baths and main shopping area. Hotel is a little run down and showing... More

Our room was at the highest floor, but that did not matter as we don't mind stairs. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean. The only downside was that the boiler was broken and hot water was not as hot as expected (it was not freezing cold), to which they apologized. The breakfast was an absolute... More

I stayed a couple days with my girlfriend and in fact it was our second time at Oldfields... staff is always fantastic and brekfast was delicious as always. We could see some renovations done to the hotel which looks really good now. The reception was new and we also had a fresh new room which had just been restored. Room... More

Stayed at this hotel for two nights on May. Got a room on the top (2) floor but in Europe that's nothing. A lovely English experience, a short walk to town to eat and experience Bath. Breakfast the highlight great food and service. Highly recommend. More

We stayed in a superior four poster bedroom on Thursday 19th May. The room was clean and the bed was huge, you almost needed steps to get into it. We received a very warm welcome from Jules who kindly explained all about local area and gave us a map. The room had a lot of special touches, including a cafetierre... More

We arrived early at the hotel, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were able to leave our bikes securely locked up at the hotel (which I had arranged in advance). They were happy for us to leave our car there too, and even gave us our room key so that we didn't have to return to check-in... More

Upon arrival met by Karen who made us a fresh pot of tea and sat down with us in the lounge to explain the facilities of the hotel and sage advice about the highlights of Bath. Lovely well appointed room even for last minute booking. The beakfast was stunning. Freshly prepared using quality produce. I have never tasted bacon with... More

On arival we were personally greeted by a member of staff who made us a pot of tea and sat down with us and the map of Bath. Showing us where to go and what to see! Ok Bath City is about a 5 minute walk down the hill; the walk back is uphill, but the taxi back is only... More
