Very welcoming owners on arrival (offering us a cup of tea and coffee!). Room was clean, tidy and comfortable, with every imaginable kind of instant drink available in the room. Fresh milk was available from a fridge downstairs, together with fruit juices. The location is about 15-20 minutes' walk from the centre of Shrewsbury and fairly quiet despite being close... More

We went there for my birthday which was a surprise booked by my partne :-) Right from the moment we got there and we're given a welcome cup of tea and biscuits, Louise couldn't have been a better hostess. The room was great and the little extra touches were very thoughtful. Breakfast was a very high standard and Louise even... More

We made the booking last minute on the telephone after researching on trip advisor. The process was very simple and Peter was very helpful. We received a long confirmation email containing lots of useful information. On arrival we were greeted by Louise who instantly made us feel very welcome and supplied tea and biscuits. Although I said on the telephone... More

I originally booked a twin room for a friend and myself for a shopping trip to Shrewsbury, but due to unforeseen circumstances ended up going with my husband. Louise kindly turned the room I had booked into a double with the most comfortable - and huge! - superking size bed. Although our bathroom was across the landing, slippers and bathrobes... More

I have spent a couple of nights here recently and what a truly lovely place to stay it is. The rooms are inviting, warm and beautifully furnished. Louise and Pete were very pleasant and helpful. Every thing was thought of for ones comfort: slippers, bath robes, plenty of towels and toiletries. There are extra pillows and blankets if desired. In... More

If Visiting Shrewsbury this is an excellent B & B close enough to the town to make walking in enjoyable by various routes. The care & attention given to guests is faultless, the room we stayed in very comfortable with many 'extras' & the breakfast of the highest standard with choice to swamp you! We would most certainly stay here... More

My daughter and I spent a Saturday night at the guest house. Louise had very thoughtfully provided all that we could need in our room including a variety of drinks, chocolates, plenty of towels, toiletries, extra blankets, pillows, slippers and dressing gowns. We were given instructions on how to get into town which was a fifiteen minute walk. Although we overlooked the... More

This is an excellent place to stay. Easy walking distance from town centre. Louise is an excellent host and provides a very good breakfast with a range of options. The room was well equipped and all the fittings were top quality. The shower was spotless. Only negatives: a small wardrobe if you need to unpack, and on-street parking, and our... More

We had a very comfortable 2 night stay at Anton House last weekend. We arrived after a long train journey around 8.30 pm and Louise welcomed us with tea, coffee and biscuits, during which she showed us a map of Shrewsbury and pointed out places of interest. We were a bit too weary to go out for a meal so... More

Located on a nice residential street, not too far from the center of town. Louise greeted us with tea and biscuits and made us feel very much at home. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very well prepared and delicious. We would certainly stay here again. More
