Stayed for 2 nights with dinner and breakfast included. Food was very good - especially the puddings! Breakfast offered a good choice of cooked and continental although I would have liked to have seen a low fat yogurt or porridge available. I dare say if I'd have asked they would have done their best to provide for me. Very helpful... More

Spent three nights at the Lord Hill, and was pleasantly surprised by the decor and cleanliness of the hotel. Our room in particular, was in the main part of the hotel (102) and was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We prefer the option of not having breakfast when we stay at hotels, and booked this one as it was one... More

As a contract entered into with a very closeby B&B for breakfast to be provided was dishonoured by B&B in a most hostile manner - I went to Lord Hill hotel which fortunately was a few metres on my right from afore mentioned establishment and was treated by receptionist Jess in a very considerate manner ( I have a medical... We have just spent one night at the Lord Hill and, although we will return, have mixed feelings about it. There are two things about the hotel that we really enjoyed. It is safe to say that the decor isn't one of them. We stayed in the Wyre room which, like the rest of the hotel is tired and jaded,... More

Selected as a 5 day venue for my wife and handicapped son so that they could escape from dust, fumes and builders rubble during some home reconstruction. They found the room in the lodge to be clean , tidy, comfortable, well serviced and quiet. The lodge is all of a 2 minute stroll from the hotel itself !!!! The location... More

The lodge is what I would describe as a little better then a travel lodge and would agree with the previous reviews and say it is dated albeit very clean. The corridors do appear to have been painted recently, however the rooms in the lodge have a old feel about it The heat was very uncomfortable . Once inside the main... More

Booked it for a weekend away, but were disappointed from the moment we walked into the room. Were initially offered a ground floor room (which was changed to another in the same building) in a building situated behind the hotel, which was rather akin to a motorway services motel room than a hotel. Because of the uncomfortably high temperature of... More

This is a good Hotel with good clean tidy rooms. Its a little walk to Shreswbury town about /2 mile or so. So there's no real need for a taxi if your mildy fit and up for a walk. However, I would be carefull about using any `late rooms` deals website for this hotel as I discovered that breakfast was... More

WE stayed at this hotel on valentine's night 2012, We had a warm welcome on arrival. We were shown to our room to find, we had a four poster bed with an outside- patio/ balcony to sit out if the weather had been warmer. We could not fault the service, The meal was all set up for a romantic night,... More

We stayed overnight at the Lord Hill when attending a dinner dance there. The staff were friendly and the hotel was beautifully warm - it was a cold day and it was pleasant to find the whole building cosy. The room was reasonably large and had a kettle and tea, coffee and biscuits available. Our friends had the room next... More
