The bed and breakfast is located conveniently on a main road where buses will pass quite regularly to and from the town. We stayed in a triple room (1 double and 1 single bed) which was located at the top most floor and I had to lug my luggage up the three floors. My mom and I loved the English... More

The room was clean very nicely decorated but a bit small, shower room also very clean and modern. It was an easy walk to the main shops and pubs etc and was perfect for us as it was only a few minutes from Folley Bridge (We went on a lunchtime picnic cruise..... which was excellent) The map of the area... Newton house is a little guest house a bit out of the center of Oxford (you have to walk around 10 mins to get there, but it is very easy to locate). It is run by very nice people, friendly and helpful. The cleanliness level is good for being British but not extremely clean if you are objective. The room... More

We were booked for just 1 night. The room was quite small and dark, clean but a bit shabby. We were grateful for the free parking but the car park is very small. It is in a handy position with plenty of buses going into the city. The breakfast was ok but the dining room a bit dark and depressing. More

We booked for a 4 night stay in a family room. The room was clean, staff friendly and welcoming and just what we expected from an older converted property. Breakfast was superb with a choice of fresh fruit, full English with vegetarian choice or croissants and cereal options. One constructive comment is to have a range of up to date... More

The Location Is Fab Like Others Have Said Its Only A 10min Walk To The City Centre And The B&B Is Very Good Value For Money As It Included Parking & Breakfast. The Parking Area Is Very Small However And The Breakfast Was Plentiful. We Did Only Stay 2 Nights And Upon Arrival Were Met By A Member Of Staff... More

Had 1 night here in May 2011. The location is quite good, being on Abingdon Rd and about 20 mins walk to the bridge at St Aldgate's Bridge which is the start of the city centre. It was also on a bus route, so you could catch a bus in. The car park was pretty cramped, only room for about... More

With a bus-stop nearby, it took us only 5-15mins to reach Oxford city centre and Cornmarket St. Walking back along Abingdon Rd, from the city centre towards Newton House, we turned left walked into Oxford College's massive Christ Church Meadow which is one of the most beautiful gardens we've seen in living memory; and a stroll along the serene meadow... Newton House is a Victorian house on a main street with a bus stop very close-by. Middle of town is also easily walked. The owner and staff were very nice and helpful with directions. The room, with 3 twin beds, was fine. Lots of mirrors and outlets for 3 women getting ready for the day and a good sized bathroom... More
